Wendy brings a tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm to The Cox Team. Having successfully sold real estate both on the San Francisco peninsula as well as in the East Bay since 2000, Wendy’s current area of focus within the team is business development and marketing. She grew up in Danville, which gives her a keen insight into various aspects of life in the San Ramon Valley.
Wendy has a unique professional background that began at a young age. At the ripe age of 9 years old she decided that she wanted to be on television. Being a resourceful and precocious youngster, she opened the Yellow Pages, called an agent and set up an appointment. A successful acting career soon followed which eventually brought Wendy to Los Angeles where she starred in 46 episodes of “The New Lassie” series and guest starred on television shows such as “Growing Pains” and “The Wonder Years.”
At age 17 Wendy decided to put her acting career on hold in order to fully experience and enjoy her senior year of high school at San Ramon. The acting hiatus continued as she entered UCLA and became actively involved in various facets of university life including being a member of the UCLA cheerleading squad.
After graduating form UCLA with a degree in Mass Communication, Wendy spent time as an educator in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. In 1998 she moved to the Peninsula and served as Marketing Director for the Hilligoss Management Team where she learned all aspects of the real estate business. She then became a licensed Realtor and spent time selling real estate in the Silicon Valley. In 2000, Wendy moved across the Bay and joined The Cox Team.
She and her husband, Shiloh, currently reside in Danville with their son, Elijah, and daughters Lydia and Jordis. When Wendy is not busy helping out with marketing for The Cox Team or taking care of her crew, she loves to write and encourage women in their faith and motherhood adventures. She blogs at hagenhoopla.blogspot.com and released her first book Totally Desperate Mom: Keepin’ it Real in the Motherhood in July 0f 2010.
